Scape Heroes

A dark fantasy narrative RPG played in writing, in a world called Scaperia. You create one character, you describe what that character attempts, and the world answers with consequences you did not get to rehearse.

A dark fantasy world that does not wait for you

Scaperia is a continent where the gods fell, where four fragments of the world were broken and three still hold, and where every place keeps the trace of those who passed through it. It is not a sandbox waiting to be filled. Cities have their own quarrels, factions keep their own accounts, and the roads are long enough that a journey is a decision rather than a loading screen.

What you actually do, minute by minute

You read a scene. You write what your character attempts, in your own words, or you pick one of the offered paths if you prefer to feel the ground first. The world answers, sometimes the way you hoped, sometimes with a cost you did not anticipate. In between, you check your character sheet, your inventory, the map, and the chronicle of what your character has already survived.

Choices that leave permanent marks

Karma, relations with the characters you meet, the state of the world and the zone you stand in are recorded after every message once you play on an account. Sparing someone rather than finishing them is remembered. So is the reverse. The promise is not that the world judges you, it is that the world keeps count.

Create a character, not an archetype

You choose a race and one of the eight classes before you begin, then you answer a few scenes that shape what the character becomes at level five. No system decides your personality for you. The mechanics stay in the background: no dice to roll, no modifiers to read out loud, no rules argument at the table.

The world keeps running while you are away

Weeks pass in Scaperia, weather turns, and the Gazette carries rumours that sometimes concern you directly. Companions remember how you treated them. Places you abandoned continue to exist.

Fight without a spreadsheet

Combat is a scene, not a sequence of turns. You describe the strike, the dodge, the decision to accept a wound in order to keep your footing, and the resolution follows the situation: fatigue, terrain, surprise, the state your body is actually in. A finishing blow is a moment, not a button.

Free, and playable right now

You get ten units of ink a day without paying, and no part of the story is reserved for paying players. When the ink runs out, the marked paths stay open until tomorrow. Guest mode requires no account and no email, so you can see the world before deciding anything.

Where to start

Enter as a guest, keep your character on the device, and create an account only when you want the world to remember you across sessions and devices.
