Pricing and ink
Scape Heroes is free to play. Ink sets the pace of the narration, not your access to the story. Here is exactly what you get without paying, and what the tiers and the vials add.
What ink is
Every exchange with the world spends a little ink. You receive a fresh reserve each day, it does not pile up indefinitely, and it is what decides the length of your session. When the reserve is empty the game does not close: it offers the marked paths, with prepared choices, until tomorrow. No city, no character and no ending is reserved for paying players.
Free or paid

The tier changes how much ink you have each day, so it changes how long your sessions are. It does not unlock extra story content, does not give a better chance in combat, and closes nothing behind it.

These are the amounts displayed in the game and charged at purchase. Payment is handled by Stripe, and a subscription is cancelled from the subscription manager, with access staying open until the end of the period already paid.
Gems
Gems are not for sale. They are earned, through referrals and in-game rewards, and they unlock certain scenes or options. A player who never pays can earn as many as a player who does, only more slowly.
What money does not buy
There is no progression pack, no combat advantage, no shortcut inside a quest, and no secret scene behind a payment. What you pay for is time with the AI, not a better position in the world. A free character can reach the same level and the same endings as a subscribed one.
Payment questions
- Can I cancel? Yes, at any time, from the subscription manager. Access stays open until the end of the period already paid.
- Do vials expire? No. Purchased ink is added to your reserve and spent as you play. Only bottomless vials have a duration, shown at purchase.
- What happens when the free ink runs out? You continue on the marked paths until the next day. Nothing is lost.
- Do I need an account to pay? Yes, an account is required for any purchase, because ink has to be attached to a character.
How to start without paying
You can enter Scaperia as a guest, without an email, and see the world before deciding anything. If the story holds you and you want it to remember you from one session to the next, you create an account and keep your character, karma, items and the state of the world.
